The Robot Heart is a Lonely Hunter of Booze

Thanks to The History Channel’s website, we’re on a serious “This Day in History” kick.  Did you know that on this day in 1940, 22-year-old Carson McCullers’ first novel, The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter, was published?

Carson McCuller - Literary bad ass.

Curious as to how we’re going to tie this back into a music related post?  Read on lonely hunters!

Did you know that sometimes a heart is robotic, and that sometimes that robotic heart hunts a stiff drink and acceptance?  The late, great Tremendous Fucking knew this – and captured the struggle on film in the music video for their song “Covered in Bruises.”

Happy Friday everyone.  We’ll see you and your robot pals at the bar.
