This Day in Music History

Today is not only the primary elections in our hometown of Bloomington, IN (and probably elsewhere we imagine) but it is also the birthday of both Pete Seeger (1919) and James Brown (1933), two gentlemen who’ve been known to get a little political from time to time.  Here’s some of their finest civic minded songs to celebrate the day.

And of course, don’t forget to vote. You’re kind of an asshole if you have that right and don’t use it. Just saying.
