Tuesday Tip-Off: Pop Zeus

Today’s tip-0ff is the lo-fi bedroom rock of Brooklyn’s Pop Zeus.

With only a single and an e.p. to his credit so far, Pop Zeus has quickly become our favorite new bedroom auteur. A total of six lo-fi, fuzzed out, pop masterpieces that reveal that he didn’t just crib their name from a Guided By Voices song title, but that PZ also clearly learned GBV’s most valuable secret; that 4-track charm wears off quickly if the songwriting and spirit isn’t also there. With these songs, we see that PZ has both in abundance. Check ’em out right here.
