Atlas Mix – Volume 5 – America

We’re doing a cool little thing with The Atlas, our local whiskey and skeeball joint.  Once a month we’re slipping a mix into their jukebox with a series we’re calling An Atlas Themed Mix (For An Atlas Themed Bar).

Volume 5 is themed around America, and we planned on posting this on the 4th of July for complete synchronicity, but we were partying and forgot. Check out our American Music below.

Where the Internet Took Us

As you may recall from our post back on June 1st, Portland, Oregon songwriter Matt Sheehy‘s was running an incredibly clever Kickstarter campaign to help fund the release of his Lost Lander album. It’s like Christmas in July – or whatever September holiday – it’s like Labor Day in July! Grab the track by going here and clicking a few more things.

Where the Internet Took Us

Our good buddy William Elliott Whitmore has a new album, Field Songs, out today on Anti-Records. You should go buy it (available here) but if you’re stuck at work for a few more hours, why not check out the full album stream happening over at Paste.com? We’ve listened to it four times in a row already and are loving the hell out of it. While you’re at it, why not check out all of our WEW related posts – including his short lived advice column he ran for us – right here.
