The Gloria Jones Challenge – Round 5

In honor of Valentine’s Day, here’s a photo of Ms. Jones with her baby daddy Marc Bolan.

The Gloria Jones Challenge is our ongoing examination of the many, many, many covers of Jones’ classic Northern Soul jam “Tainted Love” – to see how they stack up compared to the original.

This Day in Music History (Sort Of)

Temperance tackles a really big case on this week's Bones.

Our friends at History.com just keep on teaching us stuff, and we love them for it.  For example, did you know that it was on this day in 1990 that fossil hunter Susan Hendrickson discovers three huge bones jutting out of a cliff near Faith, South Dakota. They turn out to be part of the largest-ever Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton ever discovered, a 65 million-year-old specimen dubbed Sue, after its discoverer.

Hmmmm, I wonder how we’re going to tie this into a music related post?  I wonder how we’re going to tie it in two ways for Two Way Thursday, which is a thing we just created….
